About the Band

The Feedback was formed back in early 2005 with Smithy, Stead and John. Armed with one song, Green Cross Code, created in RE lessons in Addingham Primary, the band set out with a Casio keyboard, bongos and Rory. Rory soon disbanded to further different interests while John and Smith got down to business and wrote 'Walking'. John got a drumkit from a man off Antiques Roadshow and a Yamaha keyboard was invested in.

Then Ben joined with a guitar and The Feedback was born. 'Fright' and 'Quit' were soon added to the setlist but after realising that these sounded crap we decided to add Alex to the band. His effect was immediate and the band took a turn for the best, with both rhythm and lead guitar parts added to songs.

Soon though Smithy was asked leave the band on a mutual agreement, due to many a complex reason. With an empty place in the band and one of the founding members gone we dived into enlisting J Debney on bass. Even though with him we wrote 'Addicted', a fairly good song, he was soon removed from the band because no one liked him. A boy called Simon (D Willox) shortly followed Debney and kicked kicked out just as fast not because no one likes him- he is a fair sound guy- but because he was always ill. And he prefered emo stuff to rock.

But after several months without a bassist we decided we could probably do with one and asked a quality fella called Jem. Unfortunately, he sold us out for an other band and we were incredibly upset. However, a Scene Theory would not stop us there and we hatched a plan to get Jem in our band. We commandeared him via an msn convo and ,thanks to the help of Sam (our Bez), he is now a the great bassist of the Feedback.
